IAW 2012.. =))

Alhamdulillah (All praise to God) for making IAW a success. for giving us the opportunity to spread the beauty of islam to people around us and at the same time to strengthen our own understanding and knowledge about islam. it is indeed a memorable experience to be able to interact with all sorts of people with different perspective on how they view their life and also life of a muslim..

the best moment that I experienced is when I was telling about quran to my classmate,Elaine about Quran being universal and full of guidelines not just in terms of our prayer, but also attitude to others, history, science and others. and then when I was talking to her about there is a verse that state specifically about embryology but I could not remember which surah is that and then I was turning the quran (hoping that I could find that ayat)  and POP!!!! that exact verse came across!! Alhamdulillah .=)

surah Al-Mu'minun:14: Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah , the best of creators.

and there was a moment that I feel so ashamed on how  limited knowledge I have about islam, that I could not answer their questions confidently. maybe its a sign for me to start reading!! to enquire the true knowledge about islam, global issue in islam, and basics little things that I have been practising for 20 years and counting..insyaAllah,..

96:1: Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists),
96:2: Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood).
96:3: Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous,
96:4: Who taught by the pen
96:5: Taught man that which he knew not.
96:6; Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.)
96:7: Because he considers himself self-sufficient.
96:8: Surely! Unto your Lord is the return

I also learned a lot about how good listening skills can touched some one hearts and it is the best medium in order to convey message to others. like logically communication is all about two ways communication when someone speaks, the other listen. but how good we are at listening? are we the person who just think we are right , do not want to even listen to others idea, are we the person who just literally thinks others are wrong? well, let us reflect back and improve on that.

Halal Food Festival was amazing! Thanks for all the endless support from seniors and friends..we received positive comments on how great the food was one after another. Alhamdulillah..there's even a guy asked about the name of that dish because he is going to cook later. hehe..and someone came again and again for that currypuff and even help us to promote it to his other friends..and the best part is we get the chance to tell others what is halal food, to correct the misconceptions that we are vegetarian, when in fact we aren't. =)

last but not least I would like to express my biggest appreciation from deep in my heart :

jazakumullah khairan kathira 'May Allah grant you (goodness)'
for those who contributed a lot in this event..may this be one of the effort that bring us closer to Allah, insyaAllah..=))

Power of seeking forgiveness

seeking forgiveness and forgive which is better? which is more difficult to be done? to reduce your own ego, to admit your mistakes, to sincerely ask forgiveness from someone? to seek forgiveness to Allah for all your sins whether you realised it or not, the feeling of insincere, feeling of superiority and feeling of you are the only controller of what you are doing, feeling of you deserved more?

when infact you are nothing! you know, but actually you don't know.you say you tawakal, you say you are grateful, but you don't practise what you say in your life! why??

because we are humans who are always forgetful, who are easily influenced by the syaitan whispering  like stated in quran:

17:64: And incite [to senselessness] whoever you can among them with your voice and assault them with your horses and foot soldiers and become a partner in their wealth and their children and promise them." But Satan does not promise them except delusion.

because we are humans who cannot control our anger, whose ego is too big until there's a feeling of "I am good enough", who always point for others mistakes and the list goes on...

so what? what's wrong of being that type of human since we are ourselves are also humans?

because its dangerous to your soul, because you will then not realised what you are doing a sin. until that time when you don't make doa, repent to Allah, when you don't know what is right or wrong, when your tears are frozen!!!

ok2..so how can I avoid that moment of lupa diri?

Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A) :

I heard Allah's Apostle Sallallahu 'alayhi Wasallam saying." By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day."

Volume 008 , Hadith 320

Narrated by Al-Harith bin Suwaid (R.A) :

'Abdullah bin Mas'ud related to us two narrations: One from the Prophet and the other from himself, saying: A believer sees his sins as if he were sitting under a mountain which, he is afraid, may fall on him; whereas the wicked person considers his sins as flies passing over his nose and he just drives them away like this."

1.make doa consistently:
Our Lord ! we have sinned against ourselves and unless You grant us forgiveness and bestow Your mercy upon us , we shall most certainly be lost
2.always take time to reflect upon yourselves and repent with the best repentance (taubat Nasuha):

1- To desist (i.e, to stop first) from committing it.
2- To feel sorry (i.e, have sincere remorse) for committing it.
3- To decide not to recommit it again.

3.always seek forgiveness to Allah and the person you have hurted

4.always watch your tongue
17:53: And tell My servants to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan induces [dissension] among them. Indeed Satan is ever, to mankind, a clear enemy.

last but not least , lets always istighfar.

dakwah!

persepsi sesetengah masyarakat muslim tentang dakwah:
"aku x layak bg dakwah ni, ilmu x seberapa lg"
"alaa...mesti la dia tau punye..basic kot."
"hmm..nanti ade owg lain bgtau kot kt dia"
"spe la aku nk tegur owg, dri sendri pn x bgs lg, ni nk tegur owg plak.."

dakwah? apekah maksud dakwah? spe yg sebenarnye layak berdakwah? apakah kepentingan dakwah?
Terjemahan: "Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda: “Sampaikan dari ku walaupun sepotong ayat."

jadi, sudah terang lagi bersuluh yang berdakwah ialah kewajipan setiap muslim. dakwah sememangnya mempunyai konteks yg besar bkn hanya setakat bg tazkirah, ceramah agama, tapi more than that..its simpler!ajk solat jemaah, ajk pegi majlis ilmu, tlg member phm certain topik, explain kt housemate non-muslim about islam dan mcm2 lg. tinggal nk wt ke x je kn? jadi meh la kte sme2 berpesan2 kepada kebenaran dgn sabar. and at the same time walk the talk. sebab Allah berfirman dalam surah As-Saf:

Wahai orang-orang yang beriman! Mengapa kamu memperkatakan apa yang kamu tidak melakukannya!

Amat besar kebenciannya di sisi Allah - kamu memperkatakan sesuatu yang kamu tidak melakukannya.

jadi, ape tunggu lagi? jom kte target sampaikan sesuatu yg bermanfaat everyday. and at the same time kne jgk la tambah ilmu, belajar n tros belajar from owg yg tahu, bace bku2 agama etc so that ape yg kte sampaikan tu bkn kosong semata-mata tp ilmu yg bermanfaat InsyaAllah. dan semuanya berbalik kepada niat utk mendekatkan diri kepada Allah berlandaskan Quran dan sunnah.

P/S: jom activate dri dan activate owg lain jgk! transform!! =))
